"What happens when you send a request out to the world to chronicle, via video, a single day on Earth? You get 80,000 submissions and 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries. Producer Ridley Scott and Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald took this raw material—all shot on July 24, 2010—and created Life in a Day, a groundbreaking, feature-length documentary that portrays this kaleidoscope of images we call life." Utterly amazing, brings me to tears.

Huh. That's really interesting. Did I ever tell you that Ridley Scott is probably my favorite director of all time? I still can't hear a saxophone without feeling that sleazy robot sex feeling from Blade Runner. That didn't sound like a good thing, but it is. I even liked that Robin Hood movie okay. If Ridley Scott produced a documentary, there's a good chance I'm gonna watch it. The meta-ness of it kinda hurts my head, though.
Yea, that's why I think it's so damn interesting. I mean, yea Ridley's got his name in the credits but the movie is really "ours." I mean... even if he produced it, shouldn't we be honoring the editors? They're the one's that spliced the thing into a full-length film...
Regardless... you're comment made me laugh out loud and proud to be related.
